Inspired by Siamese fighting fish (commonly known as the Betta fish) and Jasmine flowers

SWIMWEAR (2017)

My swimwear design was burn out of opposites. The thought was combining two opposing elements, and although creating harmony was not easy - this was needed to create my own world. The highly territorial Betta fish, males in particular, are known for their dominant aggression, while Jasmine flowers are widely familiar for
their association with serenity, love, romance, purity and beauty.

Print: The print was painted by hand on paper first, using water colors and black pen/marker. That painting was then scanned and photoshopped into a print that was thereafter digitally printed directly on the fabric by KORNIT - DIGITAL TEXTILE PRINTING SOLUTIONS.

For the final touch, colorful lurex threads were embroidered by hand, creating a luxurious and exclusive look.
